A Deadpool movie is probably the most anticipated movie in the Marvel calendar, despite what the media is saying. The reason for that is the fact that the mutant character Deadpool has a huge online following, since he's viewed as the witty anti-hero in comics, always with a sassy comeback.

Niagara Falls Review claims that the movie rumored to be in the works is actually real and it's coming to cinema screens in 2016, on February 12 to be more precise. The director for the movie is Tim Miller, the same man responsible for the visual effects on “Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World.”

Fox fastlanes the Deadpool project, wants it out in February 2016

Since the last time Deadpool appeared on the screen, in the “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” movie he was played by Ryan Reynolds, the media sources are claiming that he's also starring in the big screen adaption of the comic book.

Reynolds has confirmed that the Deadpool movie “has been in a state of limbo for a while,” referring to the leaked footage. “There was such an overpowering reaction to the footage, you sort of feel like, ‘Oh, so we weren't crazy for our reasons for loving this character, for loving this role.’ It's interesting to see the power of the Internet. It's awe-inspiring, actually. And it's neat that Twitter and Facebook and Instagram can move mountains when used in the right way.”

“Assassin's Creed” is being pushed back to make way for “Deadpool”

Twentieth Century fox seems determined to speed things up on the project, since it has moved some other movies it’s working on in such a way that “Deadpool” now has fastlaned. The bad part is that, in order to make way for this movie, “Assassin's Creed,” the computer game movie adaptation has been pushed back from its original release date in 2015.

In case you're not familiar with the character, here is a short description of Deadpool: he was initially a villain in the comic books, but now he's seen as an anti-hero figure. He is disfigured mercenary with mutant regenerative powers who is very talkative and very funny.

Fans love him because of his witty remarks and one-liners, as well as for the fact that he often breaks the fourth wall in his appearances, pointing out that he's in a comic book universe.

If Reynolds lands the Deadpool role, it will be his second superhero casting, since in 2001 he portrayed on screen the DC Comics superhero, the Green Lantern.
