A multi-feature alarm clock you'll love

It's a lot of fun exploring the seemingly infinite possibilities of designing the most usual and common things in a way nobody before you has ever thought about. That's why a lot of gadgets are so surprisingly “fresh” and exert such an irresistible attraction despite the fact that their basic functionality remains unchanged, and by all means this is why an object becomes a true gadget.

More than doing something strange, thingies like the Cubissimo clock boast a very personal approach to their properties and features.

This particular alarm clock comes from the elegant Lexon series and bears the signature of British designer Theo Williams.

The rather conservatory and almost Spartan character of the design exercise would make almost anyone recognize the British air of the Cubissimo; yet it's the very pleasant coloring that makes the noticeable difference between a cold and impersonal item and a cute “toy” with a welcoming look and a familiar presence.

The Lexon Cubissimo comes with a 4 LCD display array, with a screen on every side of the ABS/aluminium cube. All non-necessary buttons and other commands have been eliminated and you can have instant visual access to all the data displayed by the Cubissimo by simply turning the cube. The displays come with electro-luminiscent backgrounds so the info will be easy to read in pretty much any lighting conditions, you just need to touch the upper facet of the small cube and it will light up.

The facets of the Lexon Cubissimo will tell you the time, date, day and ambient temperature (in Celsius and Fahrenheit degrees), while the alarm comes with a snooze function. Power is delivered by one AAA battery, making the Cubissimo light and easy to carry from place to place; and with a side a tad longer than 5cm, it is clear that this small clock can go almost anywhere. For those willing to pay around $40, the Cubissimo could make a very nifty accessory for your room, or a very suitable piece for gift purposes.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
