Gamers can see the world of the title as it is created

The development team at Ubisoft in charge of The Crew is ready to deliver the launch trailer for its racing title, which is designed to get the player community excited about the new game and give some context about its core mechanics to those who have not heard about it before.

The new experience can be played on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft, and the older Xbox 360.

The Crew is a very ambitious experience that allows players to explore a recreation of the United States of America which is entirely open, with a range of terrains, featuring complex urban areas with plenty of twists and turns, open deserts, plains, more rugged areas, and a lot of recreated highways.

The official announcement states, “The Crew redefines the level of freedom players experience in a driving game by offering a playground of unprecedented scope in which any driving fantasy can be realized: speeding on coastal highways, slaloming through the bustling streets of major cities, drifting along the sharp turns of mountainous tracks…”

Ubisoft says that gamers can play entire campaigns cooperatively online for the first time, with friends able to join each other in order to get access to better rewards and to progress faster through the level system.

Gamers can also enter Player versus Player missions that are designed to test a variety of skills as they race against one another in order to try and reach the checkpoints as fast as possible.

Finally, The Crew also has a Faction Wars mode, linked to access to the second region of the map, with five groups trying to increase their reputation and dominate the virtual version of the United States of America.

The Crew reviews might be delayed

Before the racing game was launched, Ubisoft announced that reviewers would only get access to the game on launch day in order to make sure that they get the full experience offered, with other humans populating the world and creating exciting cooperative and PvP moments.

The publisher also tells gamers to trust friend reports about the game rather than official reviews, as the latter can be rushed.

The Crew is designed to be a game that keeps gamers occupied in the long term, with four downloadable content packs set to begin launching in January of 2015.

Gamers will be able to enjoy exclusive content, and those who pick up the Season Pass right now can get access to the McLaren 12C and the Ferrari 458 Speciale.
