14 DAY TRIAL // It seems that the development team at The Creative Assembly is satisfied with its foray away from the strategy genre and the way Alien: Isolation was received by players, and it already has plans to create another console game with a focus on action and with a multiplayer mode.
There are two new job postings on the official site of the company which are offering some details about the kind of experience they are planning to create and is now in the early stages of development.
The Creative Assembly is looking for an online and multiplayer programmer, who should have experience working on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One from Microsoft.
The clearest explanation about the new title mentions that "We are creating another multi-platform AAA blockbuster and the successful applicant will be part of a team which allows our game experience to be shared."
The company is also aiming to hire a new graphics programmer who will need to use the engine created by The Creative Assembly in order to push the cutting edge of interactive visual tech.
It's easy to guess that the studio is currently working on an actual follow-up for Alien: Isolation, but it's unclear whether the game was designed to start a franchise or if the company is planning to explore another franchise next.
The Creative Assembly is also working on a Warhammer strategy title
Any new project is probably only in the first stages of the development process, and for a while, The Creative Assembly will be more focused on the Total War franchise.
Attila was launched earlier in February and has managed to perform better than Rome 2 when it was first introduced. A downloadable content pack was already released, with more clearly planned to introduce more cultures and maybe even new campaigns.
A new video released to celebrate the fact that Total War is 15 years old is also coming close to offering a confirmation that The Creative Assembly is working on a strategy experience based around the Warhammer fantasy universe.
Information about it first leaked earlier in the year and we will probably get an official announcement in the coming weeks, which will be good news for those who love the strategy genre.
