As much as you'd want to keep away from technology, I bet you still have a few devices on your desk or in your room that need constant recharging. Whether it's a simple mobile phone or a complex PDA, you need to keep track of your business, and eventually, you'll have to give them juice.

If you have just one such gizmo, then recharging won't be a problem, but if you have over three devices, things will get pretty ugly. Countless meters of wires and numerous rechargers will make your room look like the NASA Space Center.

Here's where the Callpod's Chargepod comes to the rescue. This little sucker will charge all your devices without you having to worry about the original rechargers and with just one power cord.

It can juice up six devices at a time via its ports and all you'll have to do is make sure you purchase the necessary adapters for the devices. The manufacturer says that the Chargerpod works with cell phones, Bluetooth headsets, PDAs and other devices, such as mp3 players. In the image with the Chargerpod in action, you can see one iPod video being recharged, so it's no lie.

This universal charger incorporates the voltage regulator technology, which ensures that each device gets exactly the amount of voltage it requires, which prolongs the lifespan of the connected units.

Another great thing about this pod (everything seems to be a pod these days) is the sleek design and the nice blue lights, which show you when a device is charging.

Here are some more technical specifications for all you tech savvys out there. The Chargepod has a charge power of 6V (volts) and 3A (amper) and since it has six ports, this means that each port gets about 500mA.

But enough with the small talk. If you are in need of a smart recharging unit, then the $50 priced Chargepod is what you should get.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
