It may look awkward but it surely looks elegant, too

You must admit that you just don’t run into a black screen wristwatch all the time. Well, we happened to see one and thought it would be cool to write a line or two about it. The name says pretty much everything about this time-keeping machine: an all-black watch, with a black bracelet and a ‘very black’ screen that does not read anything. We were not exactly fond of what looked like a cheap and ordinary rubber bracelet, especially because it was somewhat contrasting with the rather sober and elegant air of the watch itself.

And if you look for yourselves we hope you'll agree with us as we say that the square shape of the watch looks more like elegant and fashionable rather than sporty and playful. That's why we thought a matte black metal bracelet could have been a far better choice in this case.

At least for the whopping $190 you'd have to fork out on the Black Screen Watch we'd have expected something more refined. Now, if you're so impressed as to spend this amount of money on such a weird clock it might finally prove that the bracelet makes no big difference. And what's with the all-black screen, you'll surely ask. The idea is very simple and we're not sure how to see things, bright or simply silly (and looking good): the screen will remain black all the time, until you press a small button on the side of the watch chassis.

Then some LED matrix display will light up and tell you the time; take your finger off said button and everything will return to its initial, dead and black inertia. Again, for the hefty price of the Black Screen Watch, the manufacturer could have chosen some different, more stylish LED bulbs: the present ones are red and look almost vintage. Maybe some cool blue ones could have looked way better and boasted more style; and maybe we'll get to see a mark II of this altogether weird and at the same time interesting clock designed with some more refinement and hopefully for a lower price.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
