A new concept video of the upcoming iPhone 6 has started making the rounds and boy is it something! Combining the best design elements from Apple’s entire product lineup, this iPhone 6 mockup simply begs to be created.

Featuring an ever-so-slightly curved sapphire glass cover and a brilliant display underneath, the iPhone 6 imagined by Arthur Reis (video by Ran Avni) shows a 4.5-inch handset with an “astonishing curved screen, better camera, higher performance and all-new design.”

Take all the rumors, all the leaks, and Apple’s entire product line, mash them all together and what you get is this exact design. Apple not only needs an all-new look for its flagship product, but also a special something that completely sets it apart from other handsets out there.

While curved screens certainly aren’t a novelty anymore, a convex form factor would undoubtedly give the iPhone 6 a level of uniqueness.

Reis imagines a tapered back shell with Gold, Silver, and Space Gray finishes. The tapering is reminiscent of the original 2007 iPhone, but the thinness takes us to the iPod touch of 2012. The Home button holds a Touch ID sensor, the camera has been boosted, and the volume buttons have been redesigned with an elongated shape (something borrowed from the iPhone 5c).

The two-minute clip is embedded below for your viewing pleasure. The concept device is made by Arthur Reis, the video by Ran Avni, and the sound score is MikeSea's work. Enjoy and continue reading past the video.

Apple is pretty much compelled to offer an iPhone 6 with a bigger screen, and there’s a good chance that the 4.5-inch spec will materialize.

There are also rumors of a larger version of the phone sporting a 5.5-inch display, or even a 5.7-inch display. This is less likely coming from a company notorious for its reluctance to make radical changes to its hottest selling products. Nevertheless, it’s a possibility.

The Cupertino giant is expected to announce an event in the coming weeks, but it’s likely reserved for an Apple TV refresh and perhaps other (minor) announcements.

The Worldwide Developers Conference in June will likely be Apple’s second event for 2014. At WWDC, the computer giant typically unveils all-new versions of its iOS and OS X operating systems, as well as some hardware revisions. On occasion, Apple will downright shock the public with an iPhone announcement.

Everyone is keeping their fingers crossed to see the iPhone 6 make an appearance earlier this year. However, for the past two years Apple unveiled its iPhone revisions at events held in September and October.
