This year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is just days away, and animal rights activists are bending over backwards to have SeaWorld kicked out of it. Alec Baldwin, together with wife Hilaria, also believes that the marine park has no business taking part in this event.

Hoping to convince Macy's to reconsider their decision to include SeaWorld in the parade, the Baldwins have sent a letter to the company's CEO, Terry J. Lundgren.

“As New Yorkers and new parents, we were disappointed to learn that SeaWorld might appear in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. (…) Thanks to the documentary ‘Blackfish,’ which has drawn millions of viewers since it debuted on CNN last month, the public knows that SeaWorld is a cruel prison for whales,” Alec and Hilaria's letter reads.

Furthermore, “At least 35 orcas and dozens of dolphins have died prematurely at SeaWorld parks, which should not be celebrated with a giant Shamu float parading down the 34th Street.”

This year's Parade will take place on November 28 in NYC. Here's hoping Macy's will have changed its mind about including SeaWorld in it by then.
