14 DAY TRIAL // If you’re a fan of The Bachelor, you must know that Sean Lowe has already tied the knot with the woman of his dreams / choosing, Catherine Giudici, whom he met on the previous season of the ABC reality series.
They were married in a live broadcast on the network but, before that, had sworn to abstain from having relations until they were husband and wife. Jimmy Kimmel did the math and came up with 16 months of courtship, 14 months of engagement, during which time they did not sleep together once.
Waiting for so long before consummating a relationship is a rare thing these days, especially in showbiz, where a relationship or marriage of 16 months is considered “rock solid.” Kimmel, for one, didn’t believe Sean and Catherine made it this long without relations, so he had them take a polygraph test.
You can see the result in the video above but, if you feel like curiosity might get the best of you any second, let me just say that the lie detector test showed that they didn’t lie: they really did save themselves for marriage.
However, neither was a virgin. Sean is a born-again Christian and it was his idea to wait until marriage. Catherine agreed because she loves him.
The two were married this Sunday at the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore in Santa Barbara, California.
