A new approach to projection clocks from Hammacher Schlemmer

As you know, we're always on the lookout for cool gadgets, and the one you're about to see today really fits the profile, as the Analog Projection Clock from Hammacher Schlemmer represents a whole new (and cool) approach to projection clocks.

Thus, according to the manufacturers, the device shows the time in a classic analog face, including a fully-animated sweeping second hand, thus generating a clear "classical" wall clock image made of pure light, which, depending on how near the projection box is located with respect to the wall, can have a diameter of up to 91.5 cm. And as if that wasn't cool enough, the projection box is made of a sturdy injection-molded acrylic that is completely transparent - as you can very well see from the picture - thus revealing the internal lamp, mirrors, and lens mechanism that generates the light projection.

The device's projection lamp sports an 80-watt halogen bulb that generates 700 candlepower, quite enough to generate a very crisp and clear image. The box can be installed on a wide range of flat surfaces, as for example tabletops, bookshelves or even the ceiling and measures 18 cm x 10 cm x 18 cm. As mentioned before, the Analog Projection Clock from Hammacher Schlemmer has a pretty high coolness factor, due to the very unusual method of showing the hour and the special design of the box, but we must admit that's the only major selling point, as the number of extra-features and functions included in the device is quite limited.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
