14 DAY TRIAL // Marc Webb’s “The Amazing Spider-Man,” which came out in 2012, wasn’t as big of a hit as Sam Raimi’s first two films, but it earned solid reviews from both critics and fans. A sequel was ordered and plans for a trilogy were immediately set in motion.
The second installment, called rather unoriginally just “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” comes out in May next year and, of course, will see British actor Andrew Garfield resume his role as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, with real-life girlfriend Emma Stone playing his love interest.
A first trailer for it has been released and, just like I mentioned yesterday upon the release of the official “Amazing Spider-Man 2” poster, this time, there will be 3 villains to defeat.
The tagline is “His greatest battle begins” and, as you can see from the video above, it’s really no mystery why that is. Spidey goes up against Electro, the Green Goblin, and Rhino. Seriously, how much beating can one superhero take?
