With less than two weeks left until HTC is expected to unveil its next flagship smartphone, the All New HTC One, new info emerges regarding the unannounced smartphone’s software.

It has already been confirmed the handset will ship with Google’s latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box, as well as HTC Sense 6.0 UI on top.

The Sense 6.0 UI is expected to make it to other HTC smartphones as well sometime in later summer or early autumn, but for the time being the information has only been confirmed by a few insiders.

Anyway, the HTC Sense 6.0 UI was meant to give HTC smartphones a bit of a fresh air in terms of visual look and functionality. However, according to the latest video leaked online that shows off the HTC Sense 6.0 UI, not much has been changed in terms of graphics.

In fact, those who rocked an HTC smartphone with Sense 5.5 UI will certainly feel at home on the 6.0 version as well. There are some changes in the fact that the new UI comes with a bunch of new features that had to be integrated within the menus, so expect quite a lot of stuff to be available in the All New HTC One.

One of the major improvements seems to be the new Motion Gestures option, which will allow users to control the phone with gestures when the display is in sleep mode.

Since LG and Nokia have already introduced the so-called KnockON and “double tap to wake up” features into their smartphones, HTC thought it would be wise to reproduce it onto their devices as well.

HTC fans will be pleased to know the All New HTC One will come with a similar feature that will allow them to wake up the phone by double tapping on the screen.

In addition, users will be able to swipe upward from the bottom of the display while in portrait mode, in order to unlock the phone. This gesture is not available in the phone has a passcode that you need to enter before unlocking it.

You will also be able to swipe from right to left to launch BlinkFeed, or left to right to display the widget panel. These gestures are similar to those available on the LG G2 and LG G Flex.

Last but not least, you will be able to launch the camera by simply turning the phone into landscape mode and holding down the Volume down key.
