The wooden upper class alternative

No one can live without an alarm clock. At least the working class heroes can not easily weak up in the morning without some noisy help. But the Brits especially like the Chronos based DAB bedside clock-radio, which is ranked as the best selling all-in-one gadget.

"The Chronos CD feature has an adjustable sleep timer allows you to go to sleep to your favorite station, and the easy to find snooze button means you won't be fumbling around in the morning - you can even set the length of the snooze timer for an extra lie-in when you deserve it," informs UberGizmo.

The DAB is a classic design clock, which delivers enhanced digital-quality audio from its stereo speakers, being compatible with CD, CD-R, CD/RW audio media or MP3/WMA discs.

It can also be set to wake you up at a certain hour during the weekend (God forbids), weekdays, daily or one offs each with the choice of waking up to either DAB digital radio, FM, CD or a simple tone alarm. I unfortunately haven't checked it out, but if the Brits love it, it must have something catchy.

The DAB digital radio also sports no less than 55 stations 'caught' in some areas, including BBC radios 1-4, BBC Five Live Sports Extra, BBC7, Classic FM, Virgin, Planet Rock and Oneword.

Another great brand new clock featuring an upper class target is the one that is meant to match your furniture - the Wooden Clock, which is said to look exactly like a piece of wood that in fact hides a gadget. The display just appears like magic on the wooden surface and disappears immediately after it has been turned off.
