NCSoft's Aion Vision trailer has been up and about the Internet for quite some time now and, like any good trailer, it has stirred a lot of commotion. The quality of the graphics, as well as the visual detail involved look like something no other MMORPG could ever compete with at this point, but the trailer also features some very dynamic and appealing gameplay. At the time it was launched, what exactly the trailer foretold was very, very vague, as we couldn't even be sure if this was a teaser for a possible Aion 2, or if it was just for some revised graphics for the current game.

But now, the developer has stepped forward and is ready to make some clarifications on the matter. As posted on the official forum by an NCSoft representative, the trailer is meant to explore and evolve the Aion experience, but the exact date on which this will be available is still murky, at best.

"As you can tell from the trailer, the development team is hard at work on evolving the Aion experience in unique and innovative ways. Some of the features highlighted in the trailer are further along in the development process than others. Because of this, we aren't ready to share or speculate on timeframes," the post read.

NCSoft's representative further added that, "Even though we're not ready to confirm specifics on features shown in the Aion vision trailer, we're very excited about what the future holds for Aion and are committed to developing the game's experience. We will provide you with further updates when they're available." The game was first launched in South Korea on November 25, 2008 and its popularity convinced its producers to prepare a Western release for 2009.

Even with the mighty World of Warcraft as an adversary, the game managed to do extremely well and it became the best selling PC game of September in North America. If you've missed it, you can ogle at the trailer for yourselves here.
