Although the 8 Megapixel LG KC910 was first seen about two weeks ago, we did not have all the details about it and neither press photos with the handset. Today, LG has officially presented the KC910, confirming the fact that it comes as a superior successor of the hugely popular 5 Megapixel Viewty.

LG says the KC910 will hit the market in October, when its "pet name" will also be unveiled – hence the handset will not go around as "LG KC910" and the South Korean company is probably preparing something similar to "Viewty" for it.

The main capabilities of LG KC910, at first glance, look like this:

- 8 Megapixel camera with Schneider Kreuznach optics, lens cover, auto and manual focus, xenon flash, image stabilizer, ISO sensitivity (up to 1600), geotagging, face detection, smile shot, blink detection and video recording (from 5fps to 120fps). The camera will also feature "a variety of creative shot modes," of which LG says they can be found only on dedicated digital cameras.

- 3 inch TFT touchscreen display with 240 x 400 pixels, customizable Flash User Interface;

- built-in GPS and A-GPS;

- GSM and HSDPA connectivity (for data transfer speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps);

- Wi-Fi;

- Dolby Mobile, for "depth and richness as well as clean, powerful bass to the music listening experience";

- DivX and Xvid compatibility.

The internal memory of KC910 was not announced, but the handset supports microSD and microSDHC cards, hence users will have no problems with the storage space.

"With our new flagship handset, the LG KC910, we’ve once again combined a high-end camera with top-notch multimedia features and full touchscreen interface to provide the ultimate multimedia experience. According to our customers, a full touchscreen interface is essential for fully utilizing high-end multimedia features and this is one of many areas where the LG-KC910 excels," stated Dr. Skott Ahn, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.

For the moment, the retail price of KC910 is not known, but don't expect it to be a low one.
