The Zhuhai Aimei's PMP has to be the funkiest media player I've ever seen! It does catch your attention with its crappy yet unique paint work. It features a bunch of non-impressive features like playing lots of file formats, among which AVI, WMV, MP3, WMA and ASF, which means it's proper equipped to do decent stuff.

The player supports lyrics displaying and a lot of playback functions. It gets juiced up with a single AAA battery and its size is not bad as 36 x 25 x 29 cm should be just about enough to fit your jeans pockets.

The design line is quite an interesting one, I am not really sure if that's a good thing this time. It comes in various colors and drawings versions, one to suit every eccentric taste out there. You must not expect any video playback capabilities or else, since the makers bet on its looks. And since looks sucks...

The player's sound performances are also customizable with one of the 7-equalizer modes, not to mention it can also be enhanced with SRS 3D audio support. The file transfer management uses USB 2.0 interface. It comes packed with multi-lingual support.

Too bad there is no mention about the player's internal storage capacity, however, no matter the size, the player allows the user to boost up the value with the use of an SD card slot. Sadly, the biggest issue seems to be the rather small screen display it features. Still, the "private space" function is an original feature on the list.

They should have said a little more about the technical details, but, with or without them, I'd still choose one for my 5-year-old nephew. Wouldn't you? If they planned to target the kids, they've done a pretty remarkable job!
