A woman who was breastfeeding in public has confronted the person who had asked her to cover herself up or change locations.

Another woman came up to her at the Burleson Recreation Center in Tarrant County, Texas and asked her to stop. She argues her position but she is met with resistance by the mother and her husband.

He participates in the conversation at the very end, asking the woman to step away from his wife. According to WFAA, Lucy Eades had her 16-day-old daughter with her as she was walking another one of her girls to dance class.

The woman who came up to her was a Recreation Center employee. After this clip was posted, Eades received an apology from the City of Burleson.

“There is nothing in the law that prohibits the city from requiring a mother to cover up. [...] The city did not attempt to prohibit breastfeeding and we fully support the freedom of mothers to breastfeed as long as it doesn't infringe on someone else's freedom,” their statement reads.
