NAMCO BANDAI recently announced "Brain Coach with Dr. Kawashima". The new game will become available this December, growing the existing brain training craze across the world to mobile phones.

Officially approved by Dr. Kawashima, the famous neurophysiologist and expert on brain imaging, this mobile phone game has been scientifically tested at a leading university in Japan, and proven to stimulate the brain.

"With Dr. Kawashima's official approval, we are very proud to take this popular genre to the next level", says Masaji Okubo, Managing Director of NAMCO BANDAI Networks Europe Ltd. "Players are now presented a new and scientifically proven series of fun brain training challenges that actually help activate different parts of the brain", he adds.

Games such as "Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training: How Old Is Your Brain?" for the Nintendo DS have been in constant top positions in video game charts across the world during the last couple of years, fueled largely by both young and older players who want to sharpen their mental skills.

"The formula of this application has already proven successful by establishing a base of millions of Nintendo DS players worldwide, and with Dr. Kawashima's approval we are pleased to bring this official mobile game to the larger mass of mobile phone users", says Masaji Okubo, Managing Director of NAMCO BANDAI Networks Europe Ltd.

"Brain Coach with Dr. Kawashima" includes challenging exercises that help players train and track their brain fitness on a daily basis. With the mobile phone already being a daily companion, it leaves no more excuses not to improve your brain age.

The publisher hasn't revealed many details about the game itself, other than that it follows the formula of daily exercises to train and track your brain fitness. There's also no disclosure upon the price or the exact launch date.
