Simple trick to test a new interface

Following the recent improvements released by the online video sharing service YouTube for the interface of the video player, the parent company Google is now preparing a brand new appearance for the official page of the product. As blogger Ionut Alex reported, the new layout is available using a simple trick that replaces the old interface with a brand new interface. All you need to do is add the "&v3" code after the URL link of a certain clip.

As you'll see if you decide to test the new interface, this is very attractive because it shows the related videos in the right part of the clip and not at its end as we were used to with the new video player appearance. Just under the clip, there are several functions available such as Save, Add To Playlists, Share and Report.

Moreover, the online video sharing service bundled the possibility to embed the clip into your website using either the old or the new video player interface without having to write the "&rel0" code at the end of the URL link. As you can see, you're now required to choose if you want to "include related videos" or to not include them into the interface of the clip.

The online video sharing service was acquired by Google in October 2006 when the search giant paid $1.65 billion. Since the acquisition of the service, YouTube was continuously in the spotlights as numerous companies accused it for copyright infringement because it published videos without authorization. The latest and the most famous lawsuit was filed by Viacom, the owner of MTV and Comedy Central that also demanded $1 billion in damages.

However, it seems that the parent company Google is prepared to fight against the copyright complaints, as it's ready to release the long-awaited feature meant to stop the prohibited clips.
