The possibility of charging other vehicles as well is “being considered, as always”

A few days back, we reported on Tesla's unveiling six brand new EV charging stations in the US, which supposedly could up the battery of an electric car by 50% in just 30 minutes.

Given the location of these superchargers, most would assume that people driving electric vehicles would find it incredibly easy to travel from one part of the US to another.

However, it seems that Tesla's Superchargers are to only power the Model S, at least for the time being.

Company officials explained that, “The reason Supercharging is available only for Model S and not for others (including Roadster) is that Model S was developed with supercharging in mind.”

However, it seems that Tesla is looking into the possibility of making this new technology available to other car types as well, so hopefully, good news on this topic will soon follow.

On the upside, the company wished to emphasize the fact that all of its future vehicles would be compatible with the Superchargers.
