14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has a lot of hopes for its next generation console, Xbox 360, but, unfortunately, the secrets buried deep down inside the device might be found by those who shouldn't have any access to them.
Der Spiegel informs that ten Xbox 360 prototypes, which were shipped from Hong Kong to Germany, have vanished from a warehouse. The prototypes were the first consoles ever delivered from Asia to Europe.
The problem is that these prototypes are what producers call "development kits". Those who have stolen them might use those to discover all the console's secrets, but also to pirate the games that will be launched for this device.
According to the release schedule announced by Microsoft, the Xbox 360 console will be marketed in Europe starting December 2.
From the data published by Der Spiegel, the police, who have started investigations in Germany and in Austria, have succeeded to recover three of the ten prototypes, but there are still no leads on the others.
