Courtesy of Telus, the Motorola V750, a phone that was built to meet the requirements of the U.S. military, is now available for purchase. It may not be the most advanced device on the market, but its specs in some unconventional aspects are pretty spectacular.

This flip phone, measuring 102 x 51 x 16.5 mm and weighing 111g, delivers an easy on the eyes impression, especially after considering that it had to pass plenty of ruggedness tests, and be designed following the 810F military specifications.

These specifications made it one the toughest and fiercest phones out there, being able to withstand a multitude of devastating factors, among which low pressure, low temperature, temperature shocks and high temperatures, contamination by fluids, rain, humidity, fungus and salt fog. The actual list of unconventional features is much longer, including specs such as Pyroshock, Acidic Atmosphere, Gunfire, but summing all this up, it’s safe to say that it can take anything a soldier can, and much more.

Moving on to the more normal specs, the device packs a 2 Megapixel camera with video capabilities, Bluetooth, speakerphone, 2.5mm jack, and memory expandable up to 8GB thanks to the microSD card slot. Also, it features two displays, an external 1.6" (120 x 160 pixel) TFT one, and an internal 2.2" (240 x 320 pixel) 65K TFT one, plus a large keypad with raised keys for an easier input.

Telus has contributed as well, by including the Telus mobile music service, Telus mobile TV and integrating text, video and picture messaging that offer a great sharing experience.

Moreover, the web browsing capabilities of this Motorola are said to be among the fastest and most productive ones available in present times, while the entertainment capabilities are meant to keep you pleased.

The V750 is already available in Telus stores for $199.99 on a three-year agreement, $299 on a two-year deal, $349.99 on the one-year contract and $399.99, no deals whatsoever.
