Nvidia has its Tegra 2 dual-core application processor available inside a wide range of Android-based mobile phones and tablet PCs, and the company seems determined to provide users with as much help as it can when it comes to the discovery of new applications for their devices.

Back in March, the company made available for download a Tegra Zone app for all Tegra-powered Android superphones, so that users will be able to find applications optimized for their devices much easier than before.

Now, a Tegra Zone website is available for those who would like to do the same over the web. Whether from the laptop or from the desktop PC at home, users will find it easy to access news, reviews and release information for Tegra-optimized games.

“TegraZone.com includes professional game reviews, high-res screenshots, HD gameplay videos, game developer interviews, all the latest gaming news and one-click downloads through Android Market,” the company explains in a blog post.

“As an added bonus, we’ve included community forums that you can use to discuss your favorite Tegra-optimized Android games.”

All those who own a Tegra-powered mobile device or who would like to purchase one can now learn more on Android games that would be able to offer them a great experience.

“You can also tell your friends about Tegra games and news by sharing web links via Facebook and Twitter,” the company notes.

The new website also proves a great option for developers, offering them a new way to promote their games through making them visible to all those who will access TegraZone.com.

There are over 250,000 applications available in the Android Market at the moment, which makes it a little difficult for new, appealing games to become popular, and Nvidia says that its new portal should provide a helpful hand in this direction.

To learn more on what Nvidia has to offer, developers can head over to the Tegra Developer Zone.

The company also announced that they are giving away five Acer Iconia Tab A500 Android devices powered by the dual-core Tegra 2 processor, during the first month following the launch (available only for US and Canada participants).
