14 DAY TRIAL // 19-year-old Andrea Liguori, who currently lives in Hernando Beach, Florida, US, can now take pride in being a mermaid through and through.
Thus, the teenager has a tail that stands as proof that she is as comfortable in the water as she is on land, and can even perform all sorts of tricks while wearing it.
According to Daily Mail, the girl decided that she wanted to be a mermaid when she was just 3 years old. At that time, her parents took to see a performance of the “The Little Mermaid.”
As soon as she turned 8, the girl asked her parents to let her attend special classes on how to be a mermaid in Weeki Wachee, a small city in the US whose name translates as “The Only City of Live Mermaids.”
Interestingly enough, Andrea Liguori did not attend these classes just once, but several times. Eventually, she was offered a job as a full time mermaid in Weeki Wachee.
The 19-year-old now gets to perform for tourists from all over the world and says that she would not trade her career as a mermaid for anything.
“The feeling of being in the spring water and performing a show is like no other. I am able to live my dream of swimming in the spring with my best friends and keeping the dream alive for other children around the world.”
“Mermaid school was an experience of a lifetime. I got to wear a tail, swim in the spring and meet the mermaids - it was everything I expected and more,” the girl explains in a recent interview.
