14 DAY TRIAL // A teenager lying to his parents about making homemade blowdarts was forced to come clean when he started experiencing medical issues.
The 15-year-old boy accidentally inhaled one of the blowdarts. He was taken to the emergency room where X-rays were taken and he was forced to come clean.
According to NBC News, the boy was holding the blowgun to his mouth when he accidentally fired it and it got lodged in his airway.
The incident took place in 2011, but doctors warn against homemade blowguns, which can seriously injure those who use them.
He was rushed to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, within hours of inhaling the dart but would not admit to his parents that he was toying with a blowgun. During this time, he was coughing and wheezing.
