More purple than ever

The list of special edition mobile phones goes on with the release of the "Ted Baker Needle" HTC Touch. This is the second phone model that this clothes designer redesigns and boastfully names after itself.

There is actually only little difference between the special edition HTC Touch and the normal version. The purple color that Ted Baker decided to use in the design of the PocketPC is highly fashionable. In fact, that latest tendency is that of releasing purple handsets instead of pink ones, which clearly hints towards a mobile phone trend.

Where there's fashion, there's always room for designers to show off their skills. On the outside, Ted Baker's touch is rather discrete and makes this special edition phone special mostly by writing its name on the bottom of the display screen. After all, it's the brand that makes fashion and wearing something with the name of a special designer more important than having great quality come with the clothing. The same philosophy goes with the new HTC Touch.

"This new partnership with Ted Baker makes the new one-off purple version available in time for Christmas. It also marks the start of an ongoing distribution partnership with The Carphone Warehouse which further establishes HTC brand presence on the high street", commented Paul Ghent, executive director of HTC Europe.

There is one great reason why Ted Baker chose this handset over all others to leave its mark on. In fact, it's a huge popularity joining between the two famous brands, which is supposed to guarantee future success as well. "The Touch has been a great success for HTC since its launch in June 2007 selling more than 800,000 units across Europe and Asia", Paul Ghent further added.

The limited edition HTC Touch designed by Ted Baker will be available from now on at the Carphone Warehouse, in the UK, along with Samsung S760, the other phone model wearing the designer's name.
