TeamViewer is a very popular application that has gained its popularity by being a free and comprehensive utility for remotely accessing computers over the Internet. Therefore the fact that it was recently updated to a new beta version is set to stir the curiosity of users all over the world.

Reportedly, this application is currently used by more than 100 million people who remotely connect to another computer then control it as if they were sitting right in front of the machine.

Furthermore, TeamViewer is free for personal non-commercial use, meaning that it can be installed and used on any home workstation, while business owners or organizations will require a license to enjoy its functions.

Being regarded as a very valuable tool when it comes to offering remote support, TeamViewer only requires the target computer to install the application, then share the displayed ID with the host PC, without any additional configuration.

Since TeamViewer is constantly being improved, the application has now reached the beta stage of its sixth version, with new testing editions released every day.

The most important novelty of this update is the so-called QuickJoin feature which offers the host the possibility to email session data to several users, allowing them to connect to the host rather than the other way around.

Moreover, since the information is already sent to the participants, the host user will no longer be required to manually enter credentials for each connection, thus providing faster and easier access to presentations.

Another benefit of the TeamViewer 6 Beta is its Custom QuickSupport which will store ID and password of any previous customer, so that the host will simply need to click the corresponding entry in their partner list and get connected.

Even though TeamViewer 6 is not yet stable enough to be used in production environments, it also brings some changes targeted particularly at business users.

They will be able to customize the appearance of the Host Module by adding their own logo or motto, as well as a personal disclaimer that would ensure the legitimacy of the connection.

The entire list of changes included in TeamViewer 6 Beta, as well as detailed descriptions and screenshots, can be found here.
