Team Bondi has folded as a game development entity, despite the success of L.A. Noire, their collaboration with Rockstar, but the main man behind the company is already working on a new game and plans to work with another big publisher to get it on the market.

Speaking to Eurogamer, Brenadan McNamara, who is the founder and the former leader of Team Bondi, has told Eurogamer that, “It’s pretty interesting. It’s one of the great untold stories of the twentieth century. So I think it’ll be good.”

The developer would not offer any more details on his new project but he says that he plans to launch it on the PC and on home consoles and that players will be able to see an evolution from his earlier works.

He added, “We think the evolution from The Getaway to L.A. Noire and learning the lessons we did on the way, and some of the stuff about emerging storytelling, is definitely an avenue to pursue. I learnt a tonne of things from doing L.A. Noire which will hopefully play into what we do next.”

After Team Bondi disappeared McNamara has not founded a new studio but at the moment he is talking with a number of publishers and, if the interest shown becomes concrete backing, he plans to create a new company and make an official announcement about his new game.

McNamara has not said which companies have shown interest in his project.

The developer says that a number of former employees of Team Bondi have gone on to work on film projects and that another significant group has been employed by the various Rockstar studios since September.

L.A. Noire has just received a complete edition on the PC, with all the DLC included and a number of tweaks to the gameplay.
