14 DAY TRIAL // A teacher at Chavez High School in Stockton, California has been suspended with pay over a violent altercation with a student that got her make-up kit taken away.
15-year-old Marlina Martinez can be seen fighting with the teacher in the video above. The clip was shot by her classmates and uploaded to YouTube. *Please note that discretion is advised when watching the video, as it contains violence and language that might offend.
KFSN interviewed the student, who claims that she was attacked by the teacher first. She has also been suspended from school for five days and could possibly be expelled.
The Record wrote that she was arrested after the Wednesday incident and taken to Juvenile Hall, but she was released the same day.
"She pushed me and then she started going like [swings]. Right after she pushed me, she started hitting me. [...] I hit her back," she argues.
