14 DAY TRIAL // Taylor Swift dated One Direction hottie Harry Styles for a little more than 3 months, from October 2012 to January 2013, but she’s gotten at least a couple of hit songs from it – and an incredible amount of media coverage.
The romance ended on a sour note, reportedly when he dumped her over the phone because she’d started to look for houses in London, with the intention of moving close to him. It was too much, too soon for him and he chose the easiest way out.
Well, according to a new report, Styles came to regret this decision – and he fought really hard to win her back.

In this week’s issue, the British glossy New Weekly Magazine claims to have it on very good authority that Taylor and Harry are back together. Yes, despite what she said in her hit song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” which she wrote with Styles in mind, she took him back.
In recent months, the One Direction singer had been keeping in touch with his former flame, mostly through texts and on the phone. In fact, one source says, he’s been “plaguing” her with messages, hoping that this would prove that he’s more mature now, and as such, not as easily scared away by commitment.
The tipping point for Taylor came when Harry sent her 1,989 roses: her brand new album, which is climbing charts worldwide, is called “1989” and is her first pure pop release, inspired by the music of the late ‘80s and early ‘90s.
Since they reconnected, Taylor has been gushing to friends “about how much he's matured.”

Since her split from Styles, Taylor hasn’t dated anyone high profile, or if she did, she never went public with the romance, having already been burned several times.
For a very long time, Taylor got media attention not for her music or her other projects, but mostly for her disastrous love life, with every one of her publicized romances playing out according to a well-defined pattern: boy meets girl, boy asks girl out, girl falls madly in love, girl becomes clingy and needy, boy dumps girl over phone, girl writes song about boy to “shame” him.
Taylor has always maintained that this narrative has very little in common with what’s happening in her life, but the tabloids got at least this right: she dated some of the most famous young (and not necessarily so) male celebrities, from Styles to Jake Gyllenhaal, from John Meyer to Taylor Lautner. And few of these relationships made it past the 3-month mark.
So if she and Styles do or did get back together, and they somehow find a way to make it work despite the distance and the increased media attention, this will be her longest adult relationship.
