14 DAY TRIAL // Taylor Swift has one of the most supportive and loyal fanbases in history and that’s not too much of an imagination stretch given that she does everything in her power to keep them happy and make some of their wildest dreams come true. The singer held a 15-hour meet-and-greet with fans on Sunday at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, Tenn., two hours over the initial plans.
This type of meet-and-greet events is very common, though Taylor may have just set a new record in terms of attendance. About 2,000 fans were expected to come but an estimated 10,000 actually showed up. True to her word, Taylor did her best to make as many of them as possible happy, prolonging her stay to 15 hours, during which time she made sure she hugged fans, signed autographs, posed for pictures and answered almost all questions.
One such lucky fan tells Perez Hilton that Taylor Swift is wonderful: about 2,000 people got a free hug from the popular singer, while also being treated to an acoustic gig that wasn’t even announced. “Taylor Swift did a FREE 15 HOUR meet and greet with her fans 6/13/2010 in Nashville, TN from 8 AM to 11 PM. She signed autographs and took pictures with over 2,000 fans. She took NO breaks! Hundreds of people camped out the night before,” Brittney tells the celebrity blogger.
Even better, it seems that such a wonderful disposition and lovable character are traits that run in Taylor’s family for her mother was equally wonderful with fans, even taking them on her daughter’s bus. “She was so sweet and sincere and took time for each fan to make them feel special. She also played a 30 minute acoustic set. Her mom even took some fans on her bus and let her pose with her Grammy award. A real class act who loves her fans!” the same fan writes.
Writing on her Twitter page, Taylor says that she was surprised to see neither her feet nor other parts of her body ached during this amazing marathon with the fans. As for what would best describe the amazing 15 hours she spent with the very people who make her dreams come true by believing in her, Taylor says that would be the word “love.”
