There is no artist that can outdo country singing sensation Taylor Swift when it comes to making money from selling albums and touring. At least according to Billboard, who has ranked Taylor as the top earning singer of 2014.

In order to correctly evaluate the earnings, Billboard takes into account album sales, both digital and physical, as well as touring revenue. Taylor seems to check all of the required boxes and bring in serious cash at the end of the day.

Although we're still not that far along in the year, Swift has already managed to bank close to $40 million (€28,8 million) relying heavily on her 2012 “Red” album that is still going strong thanks to her on-going string of concerts.

Apart from packing a full house on every show she makes, Taylor is also looking at some very lucrative sponsorship deals as well as hefty earnings from personalized merchandise.

The country singer is followed on the top-earning chart by country legend Kenny Chesney who managed $32 million (€23 million) and on the third spot, by Justin Timberlake, thanks to the huge success of his “20/20 Experience” tour.

The following positions on the top are taken by Bon Jovi, the Rolling Stones and Luke Bryan, with lower positions going to Pink and Fleetwood Mac, respectively.
