14 DAY TRIAL // For those of you that didn't know, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift enjoyed a very close friendship up until today, with Swift once calling Gomez “the closest thing I have to a sister,” indicating that there was more than music, boys and fame between them.
Today, it looks as if those family ties have been severed and it's all because of pop naughty boy, Justin Bieber. As news of a possible reconciliation between the two hit the press and photos and video of them spending time together, dancing and shopping popped up on the internet, Taylor did a serious reevaluation of her feelings and friendship towards Selena.
Us Weekly claims that Swift is now shutting out her former BFF because she doesn't like the fact that she flew back into the arms of her Canadian bad boy. She is apparently so mad at this reconciliation, that's she's disgusted with Selena, also due to another one of her stints when she got briefly involved romantically with Ed Sheeran.
Taylor now thinks Selena used this as an excuse to get back at Justin who was spotted with girls left and right, and trying to make him jealous. For all of the reasons listed above, the “Red” singer is now distancing herself from Selena.
It's worth mentioning at this point that the two singers were rumored to have allied themselves last month in a sort of sister pact that also included Demi Lovato to shut out Miley Cyrus because they all suspected she was the one with whom Justin cheated on Selena back when they were going out together.
The singers were ready to go to great lengths together in order to combat their common enemy, Miley, who also used to be part of their little group before her shocking transformation, which might explain why Taylor is now feeling so betrayed and why she's choosing to break off her relationship with Selena.
While all of this is going on, the “Come and Get It” singer seems unperturbed and is enjoying some quality time in the arms of jailbird Justin Bieber, like nothing ever happened between them and like all their problems were magically wiped away.
Just last week Justin posted a video of the two of them practicing a dance routine together which culminated with a seductive embrace as Justin had Selena pinned against a wall and she let her head rest on his shoulders.
This was after they had already been spotted in Texas, where Justin flew out to meet his ex-girlfriend who was in town for a concert. They went out for coffee, flowers and perfume and meanwhile, Taylor was probably cursing and crying her eyes out in despair that her BFF fell for Bieber's charms yet again.
