RV dealership owner challenges Taylor Lautner to push-up contest to settle lawsuit of $40,000
RV dealership owner challenges Taylor Lautner to push-up contest to settle lawsuit of $40,000

A short while ago, “Twilight” heartthrob Taylor Lautner sued an RV dealership for failing to deliver to him a customized vehicle on time, as stipulated by contract. The owner has just challenged Lautner to a push-up contest to settle this.

Amidst talk of being quite a diva, it emerged that Lautner sued Brent McMahon’s company for failing to fulfill contractual obligations by not delivering RV on time, which caused delay in his work schedule.

Because of this, the star asked for $40,000 in damages. McMahon thought of another way of settling this and it didn’t have anything to do with being in court, as ABC News informs, citing The Hollywood Reporter.

In other words, the RV dealership owner challenged the actor to a push-up competition, saying that whoever wins should get the money and do whatever he sees fit with it.

McMahon, for one, says he’ll donate the money to charity – and he’s actually positive he can win the competition, notwithstanding the fact that Lautner has the body of an athlete, as fans must already know.

“McMahon and attorney Adam Obeid say the Lautners and their lawyers demanded $40,000 before filing the lawsuit. But they have a better idea. If Lautner shows up and wins the push-up contest, McMahon will pay him and his Shark Kid Entertainment the $40,000 to settle the case,” ABC News writes.

“If McMahon wins, he’ll donate the $40,000 to Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Not a bad stunt – if Lautner has a good sense of humor and shows up,” the same media outlet goes on to say.

While a stunt like would certainly make the delight of fans (at the very least), Lautner’s legal dogs are having none of it, saying in a recently released statement the very offer speaks volumes for how unprofessional McMahon is.

“McMahon’s RV’s response to our client’s legitimate claim further demonstrates the lack of professionalism that Mr. McMahon, his company and his employees have exhibited from the outset, and that compelled the filing of this lawsuit in the first place,” the statement from the lawyer of camp Lautner says.

“While we will not dignify Mr. McMahon’s facetious suggestion of a contest to settle a legal claim with a response, we do welcome the opportunity for him to resolve this matter by making a $40,000 donation to the charity of Mr. Lautner’s choice, and we will be in touch with his counsel to see if he will make good on this offer,” the same statement reads.
