The 2012 Detroit Auto Show is expected to showcase some of the hottest, greenest car concepts. During the event, Tata will unveil its eMO electric vehicle, launched for the Michelin Design Challenge.
The prototype is a great option due to its low carbon footprint, but the interior design improvements, offering extra space and comfort are also something worth looking at. The tiny car can reach a top speed of 65mph, and display a 100-mile range, according to its manufacturers.
Even though the plan seems great on paper, the electric vehicle revealed by Tata won't be seen rolling on the streets in the near future. However, if it were to be commercialized, manufacturers estimate it would cost up to $20,000 (€15,658).
Apparently, the eMO concept marks the beginning of a new era for the Indian automotive engineering, revealing Tata's genuine concern for environmental responsibility and sustainability goals.
