Tara Reid in official still for “Sharknado”: she won’t be back for the sequel

This will undoubtedly break Tara Reid’s heart: even though she went on the record saying she’d love to be on the sequel to SyFy’s surprise hit “Sharknado,” word has it that she’s not even being considered for it.

TMZ notes that producers are not looking to get Reid back for “Sharknado 2,” because they will probably use the money they would have paid her salary with to up that of Ian Ziering.

The same media outlet reports that both Reid and Ziering were paid an estimated $50,000 (€37,653) for the first film.

However, since Ziering’s character was the lead and Reid only played second fiddle (as his estranged wife), they see no sense in having her come back as well, when they might use the money to make a sweeter offer to the former “Beverly Hills 90210” star.

If you happen to be out of the loop as to what “Sharknado” is (lucky you!), I can best sum it up as a movie about a tornado carrying live sharks that hits Los Angeles.

The sequel will see New York thus afflicted, so brace yourself.
