14 DAY TRIAL // Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, slain in a chase through Watertown, Massachusetts had an “all American wife,” sources say.
According to the Herald Sun, friends of Katherine Russell describe that she was unrecognizable after meeting Tsarnaev.
Before the age of 21 she got married, gave birth to a child and converted to the Islamic religion. She was reportedly unaware of her husband's intentions regarding the Marathon attacks.
“She was just this All-American girl who was brainwashed by her super-religious husband,” a former classmate recalls.
Katherine was a student at Sussex University in Boston in 2009 when she met the alleged bomber. She dropped out the next year to get married and deliver their daughter, Zahara.
As I said before, Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed while trying to evade police while his brother, Dzhokhar is currently in police custody.
He is also recovering from serious wounds to his throat and is responding to investigators' questions in writing.
