The Venice Beach Freakshow this year has allowed visitors to get a glimpse of not one, but two record holders based on height.

The tallest man in the States, George Bell, showed up at the event. In the image attached above this news blog, he is posing alongside Gabriel Pimentel, the shortest man in the US.

Bell is 7 feet, 8 inches (234 cm) tall and he is also the tallest man to have ever lived in the States. He towers above Gabriel Pimentel, who measures at 2 feet, 6 inches (76 cm) in height.

Bell played basketball for the Harlem Globetrotters while Pimentel has appeared in several movies and TV shows.

They were asked to attend the event by organizer Todd Ray and he describes their amazement upon laying eyes on each other for the first time.

"They shook hands and both said, 'WOW!' at the same time. Then Gabriel looked at me and said, 'He really is a giant!'" he tells HuffPost.
