14 DAY TRIAL // Telltale Games confirms that it's going to debut on June 23 the third episode in its Tales from the Borderlands series, and until then fans can enjoy six impressive screenshots from the new adventure experience.
Tales from Borderlands is among the latest Telltale projects. Unlike previous titles, instead of basing it on another intellectual property, such as comics in the case of The Walking Dead or The Wolf Among Us, it's actually based on another video games series, the Borderlands one made famous by Gearbox Software.
Catch a Ride debuts later this month on many platforms
Two pretty successful episodes have already been released as part of the new series, and the third one, called Catch a Ride, has just received an official release date of June 23.
The new adventure experience, according to Telltale, sees the two protagonists, Rhys and Fiona, reach a mysterious jungle left over by an Atlas terraforming facility, while taking on a new villain for the series, dubbed the Queenpin.
"Lost in the mysterious jungle of an Atlas terraforming facility, Fiona finds help from an unexpected mentor, Rhys continues to share brain-space with the disembodied mind of a dead dictator, and love is in the air. Pursued by the ruthless criminal 'Queenpin' Vallory, and with very little help from Vaughn's accountancy skills (or stellar abs), getting anywhere near the Vault will be entirely up to you."
All sorts of new things should take place, so fans are invited to admire the six new screenshots until the next chapter in Tales from the Borderlands launches later this month.
Episode 3 is going to debut on June 23 across PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Mobile versions for iOS and Android are also set to debut around that time. Expect a more exact release schedule to appear as we get closer to June 23, probably after the hustle and bustle of E3 2015 ends next week.
