Telltale Games and Gearbox Software's narrative-driven adventure game, Tales from the Borderlands, is getting its next installment, Episode 2: Atlas Mugged, sometime in mid-March.

The news was delivered during Gearbox's PAX East panel, when the company announced that we should expect the second episode in the adventure to drop during the week of March 17.

For the time being, no hard launch date has been announced for all the platforms that the game is available on, but the devs teased that Handsome Jack would be playing a pretty big role. Scooter will also get a part in the episodic adventure.

Telltale's unique take on the quirky and sometimes insane Borderlands universe enables fans of the first-person shooter to enjoy the same world in a whole different way.

The entire thing was announced at the end of 2013, and the actual adventure began back in November last year.

For the time being, there are a total of five planned episodes, following the lives of Rhys, a highly ambitious mid-level executive in the Hyperion corporation, and Fiona, a con artist looking for new business avenues on Pandora.

Telltale has a lot on its plate right now

The series expands the already consistent array of episodic games that Telltale is making, joining Game of Thrones, A Wolf Among Us, and The Walking Dead. The company is also working on a brand new and original IP, said to be even more ambitious than the Borderlands and Game of Thrones projects.

Another high-profile franchise that Telltale is tackling is Mojang's Minecraft, with an episodic adventure set in its unique world set to debut sometime later this year.

Furthermore, Telltale has recently accepted a major investment from Lionsgate, a renowned movie studio, and the rumor mill has it that the company is looking to create a TV series based on its games.
