We already know tablets are the preferred gadget to have around these days, but how many of us would trade our good old PC for a slate?

A new study published by Adroit Digital, using information gathered from more than 1,000 adults residing in US and Canada, owners of both a tablet and a PC, shows that a lot of people are willing to make the transition.

The survey mostly looked into how tableters respond to digital advertising, but it provided some side-information that is quite interesting.

The new research showcases that 56% of respondents are more likely to react to a tablet ad than to an ad seen on PC. Also, it was discovered that tablets play a big role in triggering impulses that lead to unplanned purchases. 42% of people involved in the study claimed that they are more likely to shop while on the tablet than on their PC.

More interestingly, up to 55% of participants said they would have nothing against replacing their PC with a tablet, permanently. Also, it was shown most of respondents (54%) tend to use their slate for at least an hour per day, because they can do so anywhere (in-house environment or on the go).
