Longing to watch your favorite TV entertainment show whenever you are far away from the comfort of your own apartment or house?

Luckily, broadcast software company Motive has joined forces with South Korean company Icube in order to breathe life into a Freeview TV dongle technology that allows users to watch and record TV on their slates. The device resulted from the partnership will connect wirelessly to your tablet, so you won’t have to worry about having the appropriate ports on your device.

The tablet will then receive HD digital TV signals so users will be able to stream all the TV they want, anywhere they are. More than that, TV lovers will be offered the option of recording shows to watch later.

Motive plans to bring the technology to US shores first and market it under the Tablet TV name. It will then be released in England in the form of the dongle I outlined above just in time for the World Cup in June. Sadly, more details weren't provided for the time being.

At the moment, those who want to watch TV on their tablets can turn to the Elgato EyeTV, which works with the iPad and select Android tablets. Nevertheless, TabletTV is expected to offer better “consumer features.”
