They obviously expect good sales for the rest of the year

Lots of things will happen in June, including the Computex Taipei trade show, where a bunch of products will be showcased.

That includes tablets, which suggests that brand vendors need to stock up on supply.

By extension, that means they need to call on manufacturers and the ones that actually provide them with the necessary hardware.

That is why tablet chipset makers, like MediaTek, Elan Microelectronics and Realtek Semiconductor, all have high hopes for the next few months.

All of them will boost orders for wafers, as will China-based Allwinner Technology and Rockchip Electronics.

The Chinese market may very well play a big role in their business ventures. And with the US and Europe seeming to like NVIDIA Tegra chips, Qualcomm Snapdragon and Samsung Exynos, TSMC's process technology has been mostly booked too, especially the 28nm.
