TableKiosk today announced its entrance on the Table PC market unveiling 2 new portables: eo TufTab v7112XT (pictured) and Sahara TufTab i310XT. The first one features 1.2 GHz VIA CPU, 1GB of RAM, sunlight viewable 7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen with LED backlighting, 40 GB drive, 802.11 b/g wireless LAN, Bluetooth 2.0, SD-IO slot and a PCMCIA Type II PC card slot for maximum connectivity and expandability. It also includes a finger print reader for enhanced security. There's even more protection stuff involved: rain proof, dust, humidity, extreme temperatures and vibration (err, all proof). Actually, it's developed for professionals who require a more rugged solution for their mobile computing needs. It comes preloaded with a choice for Windows Vista Business, Windows XP Tablet Edition and Linux Suse. It'll be a waste if you don't like touchscreen apps, handwritten notes, entering data or communicating over a wireless network.

"VIA is excited to have the rugged TabletKiosk eo TufTab v7112XT join the elite group of ultra-mobile devices based on the VIA C7-M ULV processor. Durable x86 devices like the eo TufTab are an incredible resource for industries demanding long battery life, rich connectivity, and wide application support," said Bjorn Stromberg, International Product Marketing Manager for VIA Technologies.

The Sahara TufTab i310XT utilizes Windows XP and comes with the same 802.11 b/g wireless LAN, Bluetooth 2.0, SD-IO slot and PC card slots, biometric finger print reader and the usual ports. It can be operated by fingertip or stylus and also touts a useful on-screen keyboard so you can type directly on the screen in the QWERTY layout without using an external keyboard. The i310XT also sports a 12.8" wide-angle touchscreen, 1GHz Celeron M, 512MB of RAM and 60GB drive.

You'll only get to check the TufTab v7112XT and the Sahara TufTab i310XT after mid April, 2007.
