There have already been a slew of product launches as far as gaming-oriented peripherals are concerned, and Thermaltake division TT eSports has come out to make its own contribution in the form of the Shock Gaming Headset.

Gaming headphones are always designed in such a way as to be as versatile as possible not just in terms of audio quality but also physical design.

Mostly, they have to be capable of both delivering high-end audio, as well as keep end-users comfortable when used for long periods of time.

Needless to say, when it came up with the Shock Gaming Headset, TT eSports definitely went out of tis way to fill both sides of the equation.

The product is described as being especially useful when consumers are playing FPS (first-person shooter), RTS (real-time strategy) and MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role playing game) titles.

One of the assets is the noise-canceling microphone that reduces background noise, for better in-game communication.

There are also inline volume controls and a mic that can be muted, among other things, plus stereo sound and the ability to fold, for increased mobility.

Finally, the device can plug directly into an USB port, for instant and easy connection and use.

“It’s all about the voice. Explosions, footsteps, incoming fire, passing vehicles, and team-member commands - you hear it all as if you were there,” said Manfred Pieper, Leader of team Thermaltake.

TT eSports intends to start selling this new product sometime during October 2010. Unfortunately, the company did not disclose any sort of pricing details.

“Unlike many headsets out on the market, the Shock headset covers the ear entirely,” stets the official announcement.

“This attention to detail makes a very big difference when it comes to comfort and noise cancellation giving players the satisfaction of knowing that Tt eSPORTS designs with their consumers in mind,” the press release added.
