It can establish a Wi-Fi connection with any wireless network

Dual-band routers are all well and good, but some PCs and laptops don't have the ability to just tap into it, or at least not both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies.

So TRENDnet took it upon itself to release an adapter that will use the USB 3.0 technology to add support for that performance.

It will be a good substitute for PCs that only support older-generation Wireless networking, instead of the latest Wireless AC standard.

The new product is called TRENDnet TEW-805UB and has “AC1200 Dual Band Wireless USB 3.0 Adapter” as its full “title.”

It can reach up to 867 Mbps transfer speed, or 300 Mbps if you only have a Wireless N network available (like, say, if you're traveling and staying at a hotel).

The adapter boasts Wi-Fi protected Setup (WPS), allowing you to connect with a single button press.

As for the range, the device should be able to work from across the house, unless you live in some huge mansion with disparate routers or something.

As for design, the product looks pretty much like a flash drive, with a regular black shell and cap. The adapter utility shipped with it lets you store multiple network settings and even prioritize network connections.
