For about 30 bucks you can try and become the best Zoo manager that has ever existed, with a little help from the guys over at THQ, your Nintendo DS console and a copy of the newly released Zoo Tycoon 2. The game is rated E for Everyone, so don't expect to see hungry, bloody lions eating all the other animals or giraffes having sex and head banging trees. No, this is a peaceful sequel for the first zoo tycoon game released by THQ back in 2005 and nothing more.

Well... not exactly "nothing" more, since the developers say that we'll get a bunch of new features for an improved gameplay to make our life as zoo managers much easier. First of all, in Zoo Tycoon 2, you will get the chance to "meet" new animals and exotic locations, and you will be able to choose from three different game modes. As a Zoo Designer, you will have to build the best looking zoo in the world using the layout and customization options of the game; as a Zoo Director, you will have to maximize profits... at all costs, and as a Zookeeper, you will have to interact and take care of all the 3D animals, without ever being afraid to lose an arm.

Using the Nintendo DS touch screen and stylus, it will be really easy for any player to build his own zoo and if he is really happy about what he accomplished, the multi-card wireless functionality allows the player to exchange zoo data and compete against friends.

And probably most of your friends will be playing this game since, starting 2004 when the first Zoo Tycoon game was released for the PC systems, no less than 7 million units have been sold worldwide. So, grab your Nintendo DS, $29.99 and head to the nearest game shop.
