Video game publisher THQ has announced that it plans to launch two new superhero-powered titles during the fall of this year, with Marvel Super Hero Squad: Comic Combat coming to the uDraw tablet, the peripheral created by THQ, and The Infinity Gauntlet arriving on the Nintendo 3DS handheld.

Comic Combat seems to be the more ambitious of the two projects, with the developers saying that the game will allow gamers to use the uDraw tablet to actually use a pen and draw in order to influence the fate of a number of superheroes.

The games will be offered on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Nintendo Wii and ten heroes will be under the player's control, including well-known characters like Thor, Iron Man and Captain America.

The ultimate goal of the player will be to take on Doctor Doom and his evil minions while controlling attacks, creating barricades and using the powerful weapons they know from Marvel movies and comic books.

Peter Armstrong, who is the executive producer working on creating the superhero games, has stated, “The uDraw GameTablet gives players the ability to direct and control their favorite super heroes in a completely new way. As the comic artist you are able to command each hero and utilize their unique abilities for the first time ever using the power of the pen.”

Comic Combat is expected to launch on November 15.

Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet is a Nintendo 3DS title that allows the player to control all the characters of the original squad while also getting access to Captain America, the She-Hulk, Black Widow and Nova.

The game also has two new exclusive stages where the gamer can become Dr. Doom, Magneto, Loki and Abomination as they confront the Doctor Doom controlled Lethal Legion.

The game is set to launch on October 11.
