Canadian carrier TELUS has recently confirmed that the HTC One will be available on its airwaves beginning April 19 for a price that will be disclosed close to launch.

TELUS has also announced that it will open pre-orders for HTC One in the next few days, so we might find out more about the price very soon.

This is not the only Canadian carrier that will offer HTC’s flagship smartphone, as Rogers has also confirmed that it will sell the devices starting April 19.

Rogers is also the only mobile operator in Canada to announce that the HTC One will be available for purchase for as low as $150/€115 with a new three-year agreement.

Thus, we expect that TELUS will put a similar price on HTC One, but we have yet to confirm this information.

HTC One will ship with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, integrated with the latest HTC Sense 5.0 UI.

However, the Taiwanese handset maker has confirmed that the smartphone will receive an upgrade to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean at some point this year.

With its Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset that accommodates a 1.7GHz quad-core processor and an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit, HTC One is one of the most powerful smartphones on the market.

There’s more to it, as the superphone boasts an impressive 4-UltraPixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. HTC One also sports a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

The hyper-vibrant 4.7-inch Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen display is another strong point of the phone. The screen supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating.

The only downside might be the fact that it does not come with microSD card slot for memory expansion. However, the phone packs 32GB/64GB of internal memory, as well as 25GB of free cloud storage via Dropbox.
