The stream of tablets with phone calling capabilities seems to be never-ending these days. Little-known manufacturer TEC has also jumped at the opportunity to offer customers a 2-in-1 device, so it has launched the Talostec tablet.

The slate has a 7.85-inch IPS 10-point capacitive multi-touch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, so nothing too spectacular in this department. TEC has added a 1.2GHz MediaTek MT8389 quad-core processor combined with SGX544 GPU, 1GB of RAM and backed up by 8GB of internal storage (extendable to 32GB).

Other specifications include dual cameras (5MP on the back and 2MP in front), GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, mini-HDMI out and an average 3500 mAh battery. As I told you before, the slate has dual SIM card slots (2G & 3G) and the default operating system is Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean.

There’s nothing jaw-dropping about this offering, but you get all basic specifications included, so you’ll be able to use it for both work and play. The Talostec arrives in February and will be priced around $193 / €143.
